Ziarat White marble slabs and tiles
Ziarat White is a Pakistani marble with a cool near white ground and fine grey to beige movement through the face. AFINISHES supplies it in slab and tile, then cuts, finishes and edges the selected lot at its Karachi works to the dimensions on your drawing.
Finishes for Ziarat White marble
The finish changes the brightness, grip and apparent vein contrast of the same selected lot. Ask for the proposed finish on the actual Ziarat White block before the cutting schedule is released.

Read the lot before the room
Ziarat White reads from a distance as a pale continuous field. Up close, the face carries soft grey and occasional beige movement through a fine grain. Some pieces are quieter and others carry a stronger directional mark, so the sample for a project has to come from the lot being offered rather than from a generic photograph of the variety.
For a large floor or wall, ask for photographs of the open slabs and dry lay the cut pieces before fixing. That lets the tonal range spread across the area and keeps the stronger veins from collecting in one corner. If the drawing needs a very even white field, say so before the lot is selected.

Floors, walls, stairs and worktops
The pale ground carries daylight into an interior, which is why Ziarat White is commonly selected for entrance floors, circulation areas, stair treads and wall cladding. Slabs keep the movement continuous across a vanity, counter or feature wall. Tiles divide the same stone into a repeatable module for larger floor areas and make future replacement more practical.
The laying pattern changes how active the material feels. A straight grid keeps the joints quiet. A diagonal or herringbone setting gives the fine movement a second direction, but it also makes tonal variation more visible, so the whole run should be laid out together before installation.

Choose the finish for the use
Polishing gives Ziarat White its brightest ground and strongest reflection. It suits walls, counters and dry internal floors where the gloss can be maintained. Honing leaves the face matte, softens the contrast and hides fine wear better, which makes it the usual starting point for busy internal floors.
Bush hammering, antiquing, flaming, acid finishing and saw cutting leave progressively more texture in the face. A textured finish can add grip to an external step or threshold, but the right finish depends on the exposure and the detail at the edge. Marble remains calcareous in every finish, so acidic cleaners and spills can etch the surface.

Cut and edged in Karachi
AFINISHES supplies the stone and carries out the sawing, calibration, finishing and edge work at its Karachi works. Send the setting out drawing with the required slab or tile sizes, thicknesses, finish and edge profiles so the cutting schedule can be checked against the selected lot before production begins.
Order the full area in one lot and include attic stock for later repairs. Marble comes from a finite block, so a second delivery may differ in ground tone and veining even when it carries the same variety name.

What a specifier asks about this material
- Is Ziarat White available as both slab and tile?
- Yes. Slab keeps the natural movement continuous across a counter, vanity or wall. Tile cuts the same selected stone into repeating modules for floors, stairs and wall cladding. Send the required dimensions with the enquiry so the available lot can be checked against the cutting schedule.
- Which finish should I specify for a Ziarat White floor?
- Start with honed for a busy internal floor because the matte face hides fine wear and gives more grip than a polish. Use polished where maximum brightness matters and the floor stays dry. External steps and thresholds may need a more textured finish, selected against the actual exposure.
- Will every Ziarat White delivery look the same?
- No. Ground tone and vein density vary between blocks and within a block. Approve the current lot, order the full area together, take attic stock at the same time and dry lay the pieces before fixing.
- Can AFINISHES cut Ziarat White to a drawing?
- Yes. AFINISHES supplies the marble, then saws, calibrates, finishes and edges it at the Karachi works. Send the setting out drawing, finish, edge profile and quantities with the sample request.
